In 1999 Dutch designer Marcel Tamminga invented what has become the best-known vibration platform in the world, the VibroGym.

Inspiration for development of the VibroGym came from Russian space scientists in the 1960's and 70's who used vibration to maintain bone density and muscle mass of their cosmonauts.

With a team of industrial designers, technicians, programmers and training specialists VibroGym laid foundation for a revolution in Whole Body Vibration Training. For the first time a vibration machine had been developed that was safe, easy to use and suitable for intense professional training.

Since 1999, VibroGym has developed into a worldwide market leader. VibroGym's distinctive character is a perfect symbiosis of steel, functionality, technology, lasting quality and a timeless design.

With a worldwide representation in many countries VibroGym will undergo further controlled development and remain future-proof on the original idea.

Many scientists don’t approve of marketing vibration training as a “lifestyle product”. Marketing measures and PR effects must not eclipse the achievements of vibration training! The laws of physiology and anatomy certainly don’t follow the rules of marketing.

“Declaring three-dimensional vibration as preferable to one-dimensional vibration might seem plausible at first. But the truth is that only a vertically-vibrating plate can trigger a reflexive muscle contraction. Therefore, a one-dimensional vibration is mandatory for an effective vibration workout“.
